Dill needs no introduction to most people. It is what makes a pickle, a pickle. But its uses don’t stop there. It perfect fresh and dried in innumerable dishes. Keep an eye on this plant during the growing season – aphids can sometimes be a problem. And remember this – dill is a heavy feeder, just like cucumbers. So give it an extra scoop of some good organic compost or slow release fertilizer and you will be on your way to pickle making season well prepared.
