Kozy Coats are the answer to unexpected spring frosts and whatever else our northern Alberta weather throws at us. No more watching the weather report and covering plants late at night. Or sweating about our constant Spring windstorms. Or panicking when you see May snowflakes falling. These protective walls of water hold heat and keep your plant babies from freezing. The manufacturer says they protect to -12 C. We can attest to them protecting tomato seedlings down to -9.
How to use: Put into a five gallon pail and fill each water pocket 3/4 full. Then lift out and put in place on the ground two days before you plant sensitive crops so it can warm the soil. Lift off, transplant and then replace. They can be removed later in the season if you wish.
